Yin Yoga is a style of yoga rather than a separate practice. Compared with more active styles such as Vinyasa, Yin uses mostly floor-based poses held for longer periods, often several minutes, with an emphasis on stillness and mindful observation. The slower pace can support flexibility, relaxation, and awareness, while other yoga styles may focus more on flowing movement, strength, or cardiovascular intensity.
